Clear Creek Independent School District (CCISD) will collect nonperishable food at campuses across the district starting Monday, Oct. 26, in a two-week drive benefiting area food banks.

The CCISD Cares food drive runs through Friday, Nov. 6, according to KGTX 7 News. Collection bins will be set up at neighborhood CCISD campuses and support facilities. Drop-off hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Anyone can donate.

The drive is open to district families, staff and the public. CCISD plans to deliver the collected donations to area food banks the week after the drive ends. A district map showing campus and facility locations is available on the CCISD website.

CCISD Cares, the district's 501(c)(3) support organization, assists Clear Creek ISD families with basic needs during times of crisis, according to the district's nonprofit network page. The district is also accepting support through two other initiatives.

Other CCISD Cares initiatives

School Lunch Fund: Monetary donations help cover breakfast and lunch costs for students whose meal accounts have insufficient funds. Contributions can be made online through the CCISD Cares donation page.

Counselors' Corner: Donors can purchase nonperishable snacks from an Amazon wish list. The snacks go to school counselors' offices for students who need them.
