I administer budgets, facilitate meetings and strategic planning, and contribute over 200 hours of annual volunteer service. I serve and lead with compassion and accountability."

Experience and public service
Potter said in our questionnaire: "I worked for League City for 14 years and have 11 years of executive management experience. I administer budgets, facilitate board meetings and strategic planning, and contribute over 200 hours of annual volunteer service to CASA, Rotary, and Junior League."
According to a Rotary Club of Galveston Island speaker profile, Potter has served as city librarian at Helen Hall Library in League City and as executive director of the Galveston Arts Center.

Asked what accomplishments show she can handle the job, Potter said: "As a library administrator for the City of League City, I was a steward of outreach efforts to connect residents with library services. During my tenure, the library increased outreach efforts and programming numbers." She added: "As the Executive Director for the Galveston Arts Center, we expanded ArtWalk to a monthly event and greeted nearly 600 visitors in the September ArtWalk."
On the issues
Asked what sets her apart from other candidates, Potter said: "I am compassionate and inquisitive. I want to learn about the people I serve so that my decisions best reflect the community. My thoughts and votes would be independent of the rest of the council, regardless of perceived alignments. My research process would be much more rigorous. I do not discriminate; I serve everyone. I strive for balance and fairness."
Best advice she has received: "Trust, but verify," Potter said.
League City's list of council candidates for the general election includes Potter and Saunders for Position 7.
