The Clear Creek Wildcats lost 49-6 to Dickinson on Friday, Oct. 2, at Veterans Memorial Stadium in League City.

The lopsided district result dropped Clear Creek to 1-5 on the season and 0-3 in District 24-6A play, according to MaxPreps. The Wildcats sit sixth in the district standings with no league wins through three games.

Dickinson, led by quarterback and team captain Lorenzo Aguirre, improved to 3-3 overall and 3-0 in district. The Gators hold sole possession of first place in District 24-6A.

Dickinson has outscored its three district opponents by a combined 180-13, according to MaxPreps. The Gators started the season 0-3 in non-district play before rattling off three straight blowout wins in league action.

Kickoff was moved up to 6 p.m. from the originally scheduled 7 p.m., according to a Dickinson ISD post on X before the game.

Clear Creek's lone win this season came Sept. 11 against Channelview, 47-9. Since then, the Wildcats have lost four straight. A 23-21 loss to Clear Springs on Sept. 18 was the closest contest in that stretch. Barbers Hill beat the Wildcats 65-13 the following week.

The Wildcats' district schedule does not get easier. Clear Creek travels to Deer Park on Oct. 16, then hosts Clear Falls on Oct. 23 in a matchup between two League City schools. Dickinson heads to Barbers Hill on Oct. 16.
