Clear Falls quarterback Reid Jeffrey threw four touchdown passes Friday, Sept. 25, as the Knights routed Clear Brook 52-21 in District 18-6A play. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Knights, who entered the night 1-3.

It was the lone bright spot for League City football. Clear Creek fell 65-13 to unbeaten Barbers Hill, and Clear Springs lost 59-7 at Dickinson.

Clear Creek 13, Barbers Hill 65

Barbers Hill scored on all seven first-half possessions and built a 53-6 halftime lead at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The Eagles led 23-0 before Clear Creek recorded a first down, according to the Galveston County Daily News.

Miles Spurlock ran for three touchdowns and Luke Babin completed 10-of-13 passes for 171 yards and three scores for Barbers Hill (5-0, 2-0), which is playing its first 6A season after reaching the 5A-DI state quarterfinals last year.

Clear Creek had no answer.

The Wildcats (1-5, 0-2) managed 181 total yards. QB Rafe Trevino led Clear Creek with 48 rushing yards on 14 carries and threw a 41-yard touchdown to J'Shon Parks. Jaylin Hill added a 30-yard scoring run.

Clear Creek head coach Dwayne Lane said Barbers Hill's speed created problems from the opening possession. "They had us backed up early in that first quarter, and they had the field position," Lane said. "A team like that, you want to try to make them work for it."

Clear Springs 7, Dickinson 59

Dickinson's offense piled up 629 total yards and 27 first downs in a lopsided performance at Sam Vitanza Stadium, the Galveston County Daily News reported. QB Lorenzo Aguirre completed 16-of-19 passes for 313 yards and five touchdowns. Receiver Ja'Marion Payne hauled in nine catches for 168 yards and three scores.

Clear Springs (1-1 in district) managed 185 total yards. The Chargers' lone score came on a 12-yard swing pass from QB Kaedyn Hutto to Darrien Moore, capping a seven-play, 68-yard drive sparked by a 34-yard run from Eli'jah Rubens. That made it 28-7 at halftime before Dickinson added 31 more in the second half.

Dickinson's two district wins have come by a combined 131-7.
