Clear Falls routed Houston Clear Lake 58-21 at Challenger Columbia Stadium in League City on Friday, Oct. 2. Clear Springs fell 38-21 at Deer Park in the other District 18-6A matchup.

The two results complete the Week 6 picture for League City's three varsity football programs. Clear Creek lost to Dickinson 49-6 in the third district game.

Clear Falls 58, Clear Lake 21

The Knights posted back-to-back blowout wins after opening district play with a loss at Barbers Hill. Clear Falls beat Clear Brook 52-21 in Week 5, then scored 58 against a Clear Lake squad that entered Friday, Oct. 2 at 0-2 in district play, according to a pre-game preview in the Galveston Daily News.

Clear Lake scored 21 against the Knights after managing just seven points in its first two district games combined. The Falcons had been outscored 134-7 in those contests.

Coach Zach Head's Knights entered the game at 2-3 overall and 1-1 in district. Based on pre-game records, the win moves Clear Falls to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in 18-6A.

Clear Springs 21, Deer Park 38

Deer Park carried a 5-0 record and a No. 23 Class 6A state ranking from Dave Campbell's Texas Football into Friday's game at Abshier Stadium, as NBC DFW reported.

Clear Springs entered the week at 2-3 overall and 1-1 in district under coach Renfro. The 38-21 loss marks the second straight lopsided defeat for the Chargers, who fell 59-7 at Dickinson in Week 5. Before that two-game skid, the Galveston Daily News noted Clear Springs had kept every game close this season.

Two losses in two weeks is new territory for the Chargers. Based on pre-game records, Clear Springs sits at 2-4 overall and 1-2 in district.
