Clear Creek Community Theatre will perform "A Midsummer Night's Dream" outdoors at League Park on Saturday, Oct. 3. Admission is free.
The show runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at the park, 512 Second St. The city is encouraging families to bring lawn chairs and coolers for the evening under the oaks.
The city announced the event Sept. 14, calling it one of Shakespeare's most popular plays and inviting residents to the park for a live performance by the local community theater group. The production is part of League City's Public Art Initiative, a city program that brings visual and performing arts events to residents.
The Oct. 3 performance caps a busy weekend that includes the Village Fair Music Festival, which runs Oct. 2–3 at The Ballpark at League City. The city's October events calendar also lists Baby Con at Helen Hall Library on Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., National Night Out on Tuesday, Oct. 6, and a Plant Swap & Shop, Harvest Festival and Astronomy in the Park all on Saturday, Oct. 10.
No rain plan or cancellation policy has been posted. Residents can check the city's website for updates before Oct. 3.
