League City firefighters joined crews from three other departments Thursday, Sept. 24, to battle a house fire in Clear Lake Shores that investigators believe may have started with an air-conditioning unit.
Kemah Fire Chief Robert Suniga told KGTX 7 News, which first reported the fire, that crews were dispatched around 5:11 p.m. after a report of moderate to heavy smoke coming from the right side of the home.
Firefighters from the Kemah, League City, Seabrook and Bacliff fire departments responded and brought the blaze under control quickly, Suniga told the station.
One firefighter was evaluated for non-life-threatening injuries. Officials did not identify which department the firefighter belongs to.
Suniga said an air-conditioning unit is suspected of being involved. The cause remains under investigation.
