League City's fall Plant Swap and Shop returns Oct. 10 at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center, 400 West Walker St.
The city partners with the Bay Area Plant Exchange to host the swap twice a year. According to the city's event listing, doors open at 8 a.m. Attendees can bring plants to trade and a wagon to haul them home.
Vendors will sell plants and garden items for those who would rather shop than swap. A "plant orphan" table will offer free plants donated by swappers and vendors. Residents don't need to bring anything to browse.
Nonprofit booths staffed with gardening experts will be on-site to answer questions about soil, pests and plant care.
The event is free and open to the public at 400 West Walker St. in League City.
