League City golfers can now tee off on Pebble Beach or St. Andrews without leaving town.
Back Nine Golf, an indoor golf simulator lounge at 2640 E. League City Pkwy., Suite 100, opened its doors with a grand opening on Thursday, July 23. The facility offers private, climate-controlled simulator bays and is open around the clock, according to the business's website.
The grand opening included closest-to-the-pin and longest-drive contests with $100 gift cards as prizes, Community Impact reported.
Bay rentals run $50 per hour for up to four golfers, according to the business's Instagram page. Annual memberships start at $199 per month and include 24/7 access and unlimited tee times, per the company's membership page.
Back Nine Golf is a member of the League City Regional Chamber of Commerce and is listed in the chamber's Sports & Recreation category. The chain describes itself as a "growing nationwide community" of indoor golf facilities.
Other recent League City openings
The opening comes as League City welcomes a cluster of new businesses. The city's Sunday, July 19 Biz Brief highlighted Back Nine Golf alongside two other recent arrivals: NearBite Banh Mi and Coffee and Prime IV Hydration & Wellness.
NearBite Banh Mi and Coffee serves crispy bánh mì sandwiches, croissant sandwiches, cheese melts, signature Vietnamese coffee, and matcha drinks, according to the city's announcement.
Prime IV Hydration & Wellness soft-opened Tuesday, June 9, at 1911 W. League City Parkway, Suite 180, and held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, July 10, according to Community Impact. The location is one of eight Prime IV centers across the Greater Houston area, offering IV vitamin and hydration therapy for services including immune support and recovery.
The city described Back Nine Golf's simulator bays as allowing "players of all skill levels to experience world-class courses in a private, high-tech setting" in its Biz Brief.
