Clear Creek fell 41-6 to Houston Memorial and Clear Falls lost 42-31 to Humble Kingwood on Thursday, Sept. 3, leaving both League City programs 0-2 to start the 2026 season.

The scores came from CW39's statewide Week 2 scoreboard, with the Houston Chronicle confirming both results.

Clear Creek: six points, two weeks running

The Wildcats scored exactly six points for the second straight game. Head coach Dwayne Lane's squad managed the same output in its Aug. 28 opener, a 35-6 loss to Kingwood.

Houston Memorial's 41-6 win was the larger blowout of the two. Through two games, Clear Creek has been outscored 76-12.

Six points per game. That is the Wildcats' early-season reality.

Clear Falls: offense shows life in loss

Clear Falls' 42-31 loss to Kingwood at Turner Stadium told a different story than Week 1. The Knights put up 31 points after mustering only three in a 49-3 loss to Pearland to open the season.

That 28-point jump in offensive output under head coach Zach Head marked a sharp turnaround from Week 1, though the defense allowed 42 points. Through two games, Clear Falls has been outscored 91-34. The Knights scored 31 of those 34 in the Kingwood game.

The Clear Falls football program posted a bright spot on X after the varsity loss, with running backs coach M.J. Hickey retweeting the news: the Knights' JV Black squad beat Kingwood the same night.

Both Clear Creek Independent School District programs face steep early-season deficits:

• Clear Creek (0-2): outscored 76-12. Six points per game.

Week 3 matchups for both teams had not been announced as of Friday, Sept. 4. District 24-6A play begins later this fall.
