New families who haven't finished their online paperwork by Tuesday, August 4, won't be fully registered in Dickinson ISD for the 2026-27 school year. That's the date of the district's Centralized Enrollment Event, the required in-person session that finalizes registration for students entering the district for the first time.
Dickinson ISD announced on Tuesday, July 21, that online enrollment and registration are open in Skyward, the district's student information system. New families must complete their Skyward paperwork first, then attend the August 4 event at Kranz Junior High School, 12850 FM 3436 in Dickinson, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Both steps are required.
Returning families face a separate deadline. They must complete online registration in Skyward by Wednesday, August 5, verifying student information and uploading an updated proof of residency.
What new families need to do
The process is two steps, in order:
- Complete online enrollment paperwork in Skyward.
- Attend the Centralized Enrollment Event on Tuesday, August 4, at Kranz Junior High School to finalize registration in person.
The district described the August 4 event as the step that completes the enrollment process. Families who skip it will not have finished registering their students.
Free breakfast, updated lunch prices
Dickinson ISD also confirmed meal pricing for the coming school year. Breakfast will be free for all students, the district's Food and Nutrition Services announced on Wednesday, July 22.
Lunch prices by grade level:
- Elementary and middle school (PK–5): $2.50
- Junior high (grades 6–8): $2.85
- High school (grades 9–12): $3.15
The meal pricing appeared on the school board's Monday, June 1, agenda as an action item with attached price documents, according to board records.
The district encouraged families to apply for free or reduced-price meals, noting that a single application can also determine eligibility for other educational benefits and discounted services. Families can load money onto student meal accounts through PaySchools Central online or via the mobile app.
