A family-owned pizzeria serving fire-cooked pizzas held a soft opening Aug. 27 on West Main Street in League City.

Fiamo Pizza opened at 6205 W. Main St., Suite F, with a menu of pizzas made from house-made dough, pasta and sandwiches, Community Impact reported.

Dior Cannoli, whose family owns the shop, told Community Impact the restaurant makes its ingredients in-house. The dough is non-bromated and non-bleached, and cheese blocks are grated on-site.

"It's the healthiest pizza you could possibly get," Cannoli told Community Impact.

Early visitors posted about BBQ chicken pizza, hot honey pizza, Margherita pizza, garlic wings and spaghetti in the Bay Area Houston Food Lovers Facebook group.

The restaurant is dine-in and carry-out only, according to a post on the business's Facebook page. No grand opening date or regular hours have been announced. Fiamo Pizza can be reached at (832) 905-1290.
