League City's free outdoor acoustic series Music in the Historic District has five more Friday evenings on the calendar this year, with the next show set for Friday, Aug. 28, at League Park, 512 2nd St.
The monthly gatherings run from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in the park, steps from Main Street in the Historic District. Attendees bring lawn chairs, blankets, and their own food and drinks for an evening of live acoustic music.
According to the League City Historical Society, the series is a partnership among the League City Folk Association, the City of League City, Visit League City, and the League City Historical Society. The events feature free acoustic music focused on bringing people together through songs and stories.
No tickets or registration are required. Attendees supply their own seating and refreshments.
When the city promoted the December 2025 edition on X, it noted over a dozen artists performing at that installment. The gatherings are family friendly.
