A new gas station is coming to the League City Parkway corridor after the League City Council approved a special use permit for the site on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

The roughly 1.75-acre property sits on the south side of League City Parkway, east of Dakota Avenue and west of State Highway 3, according to city documents. The land is zoned for general commercial use.

Under the city's unified development code, vehicle fueling stations require a special use permit to operate in a general commercial zone. The council's approval clears that regulatory hurdle, Community Impact first reported.

No brand name, developer or operator has been publicly identified. The city has not announced a construction timeline or opening date.
