League City voters have cast 22,700 in-person early ballots across the city's five polling sites, according to Galveston County Elections turnout data covering the first eight days of voting through Oct. 26.

Hometown Heroes Park led all League City locations with 6,503 votes. The Public Works Operations Center followed closely at 6,422. League City Annex recorded 5,201, The Crossings logged 2,546 and Bay Colony West HOA tallied 2,028.

The local pace fits a statewide pattern. Nearly 5 million Texans had already voted by Oct. 27, about 26% of the state's record 19 million registered voters, Marfa Public Radio reported, citing data from the Texas Secretary of State's Office. That outpaces the same point in both the 2022 and 2018 midterm cycles.

The county lists 25 early voting sites across Galveston County, according to the Galveston County Daily News.

A special election for Position 3 features Robert Bruce, Julius Segelquist and Seth Rowlands.
