The League City Volunteer Fire Department is transforming one of its fire stations into a free haunted house on Halloween night.

The haunted house runs Saturday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Fire Station No. 4, 175 W. Bay Area Blvd. It is geared toward older kids and teens, according to the city's Halloween activities page. Admission is free.

The event is one of two free Halloween activities the city has scheduled for Oct. 31. Fox 26 Houston included the haunted house in its roundup of free Halloween events across the Houston area.

Earlier in the day, Helen Hall Library will hold a Pop-Up Café with Halloween crafts, a Friends of Helen Hall Library book sale and food trucks, according to the library's event listing. That event runs from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the library on Walker Street. Costumes are encouraged, and all ages are welcome.

The city noted additional details for both events may still be posted before Oct. 31.
