A 16-year-old League City girl has been missing since Aug. 26, and police are asking residents for help finding her.
Addison Renee Alston voluntarily left her League City home on that date and has not been seen since, according to the League City Police Department. The department issued a public appeal for information on Tuesday, Sept. 8, as first reported by KGTX 7.
KHOU also reported on the police appeal. Neither outlet cited additional details from the department about the circumstances of Addison's departure or where investigators believe she may have gone.
Police released a physical description to help identify her.
Addison is about 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes. Her hair was pulled back in a ponytail when she was last seen.
She was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, a black sweatshirt, pink basketball shorts and tennis shoes.
Police said Addison has a tattoo of the name "Layla" on her right hand and scars on both forearms.
The department did not say where Addison was last seen beyond her home or provide information about where she may have traveled.
