League City residents who sell eco-friendly products or know their way around a compost bin have until Monday, August 31 to apply for a booth or speaking slot at EcoFest 2026.
The city's annual environmental festival and Arbor Day celebration returns Saturday, September 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the League City Community Center, 400 S. Kansas Ave. The event is free and open to the public, drawing roughly 1,000 attendees each year, according to the city's announcement.
This year's edition shifts earlier in the fall. Last year's EcoFest took place Nov. 8.
Who the city wants
The city is looking for vendors offering eco-friendly products and speakers who can cover conservation, gardening, native plants and wildlife, composting, water conservation, or other nature-related subjects. Nonprofit organizations focused on conservation, preservation, or environmental education can host an informational booth by emailing [email protected].
Vendor applications are available at leaguecitytx.gov/3750/Eco-Fest-Community-Yard-Sale and must be submitted by Monday, August 31.
What attendees can expect
EcoFest features educational exhibits and classes on sustainability, a community yard sale, crafts and activities, prize giveaways, and free trees while supplies last. The 2025 event gave away 350 trees. No registration is required to attend.
The city posted the vendor call in its City Manager's Week in Review on Friday, July 31, alongside reminders about the upcoming budget workshop and blood drive.
