The League City Lions Club's Village Fair turns 70 in October, leading a stretch of fall festivals across the first two weekends of the month.
The two-day celebration at The Ballpark at League City falls the weekend of Oct. 2, according to a Houston on the Cheap fall guide. The fair features live music, food and family activities, Community Impact Newspaper reported. Country artist Easton Corbin is scheduled to perform Saturday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m., according to a Galveston Daily News listing.
Ticket prices and a full schedule have not been announced.
The following weekend, the League City Historical Society's Punkin' Parade sends costumed kids on a march through the Historic District. Children can dress in fall attire or Halloween costumes and decorate bikes, scooters and wagons.
The parade lines up at the One Room Schoolhouse Museum at 210 North Kansas Ave. and follows Second Street past Butler's Courtyard to League Park. The society's website still lists the 2025 date; readers should check leaguecityhistory.org for the confirmed 2026 schedule.
In past years, the Punkin' Parade has ended at League Park, where the city hosts its annual Harvest Festival. The festival features artisan and craft vendors, food trucks, kids' crafts, pumpkin carving and hayrides. The city has not posted a confirmed 2026 date; check the city's website for updates.
Before the October rush, the Historic District hosts a free acoustic music night on Friday, Sept. 25, from 7 to 10 p.m. at League Park, 512 2nd St., according to the city's events page. The League City Folk Association, co-founded by Tucker Hart, and the League City Historical Society are among the partners behind the series. Attendees can bring their own food, drinks and chairs.
The Historical Society also runs its Murder & Mayhem WALKabout guided tours on select October dates. The walking tours cost $15 per person, are limited to 15 guests and require online reservations at least 24 hours in advance. Details are at leaguecityhistory.org.
